What this is
BLOKPLAY is a catalogue and player for HTML5 browser games. You find a game, you press play, it runs in your tab. There is no account, no launcher, no download and no level gate. That is the entire product.
Where the games come from
The games are made, hosted and published by third parties. We index them from the publisher's catalogue feed and embed each game from the publisher's own servers using their supported embed mechanism. We do not download, modify, repackage or rehost anyone's game, and we do not claim ownership of any game on this site. Each game remains the property of whoever made it, complete with its own functionality and advertising.
What we do own is the part around the games: the discovery experience, the interface, the way the catalogue is organised and the editorial writing on the genre and collection pages. If you publish HTML5 games and want to talk about distribution, the publishers page explains how.
How the catalogue is ordered
The featured and popular lists use the publisher's catalogue position with a release-date adjustment. Fresh lists weight release recency more heavily. These are editorial catalogue signals, not measurements of visitor activity.
We do not invent numbers. There are no star ratings, play counts or “10 million plays” badges on this site, and we do not track what visitors play.
What we collect
We do not run analytics or build usage profiles. There is no account system, so there is nobody to attach data to. Your favourites and recently-played list live in your own browser's local storage and are never sent to us as a profile. The privacy page spells out the details.
